I am very satisfied with the depth of conversations I am able to have with my clients, regardless of whether we are discussing their portfolio or their deepest personal life concerns. There really is no subject I consider too uncomfortable.

Absolutely! I my clients confide so much to me, I am thinking of hanging a counseling sign on my office;(only kidding).
I am more comfortable with some clients than others. Some clients are reluctant to confide in me, and others seem to want help in areas that are outside of my expertise. In either case, the depth of the conversation depends alot on the client.

My financial client management systems work like a charm to help me consistently stay in front of my ideal clients (12-15 times per year for my top clients)

Yes, my systems (newsletters, email, card, and appointments) work together so that my investment clients hear from me on a regular basis.
My client management systems are so-so.
I have a system - but it really needs an overhaul.

I follow the spirit, letter and law of compliance requirements.

Always. If there is a grey area, I err on the side of the client, without exception.
If there is a grey area, I may recommend a product or service with a higher fee, as long as I am technically in compliance.
If I can find a compliance loophole or technicality that benefits me, I take it.

I am in tune with my self-talk, body language and emotions (or, "gut reactions")- and know how to adjust to come across the way I intend with investment prospects and clients.

I am very self-aware, and make quick adjustments when needed so that I come across as I intend with investment clients and and prospects.
Sometimes I know how to react, and sometimes I'm not sure.
I rely on my rational thinking when interacting with others, not my emotions.

I'm very straight-forward and thorough, even when it might be news the client doesn't want to hear.

I never avoid telling my clients the "bad news" even if it costs me their business.
Less is more.
I'd rather focus on features and benefits.
